Chasing tasty food all over Mexico City!

Hello everyone! I'm John Chávez, the creator behind Hungry Nomads. I'm a passionate foodie and enthusiastic culinary guide, originally from Mexico City. I decided to create Hungry Nomads with the purpose of showcasing, through authentic gastronomic experiences, the traditions, folklore, hidden gems, and everyday life surrounding local food. My goal is to connect foodies from all over the world with the true local protagonists, who through their work, contribute to keeping the identity of Mexico City alive.

OUR HISTORY

I am John Chávez, the creator behind Hungry Nomads and your trusted culinary guide in Mexico City. Since 2019, my project has been dedicated with great care to offering genuine gastronomic experiences that capture the traditions, folklore, and daily life surrounding the incredible local food of Mexico City.

I have a degree in Tourism and worked for over 8 years in tourism companies such as airlines and travel agencies. However, I decided to pivot my career and focus on what I love most: the food and culture of my city. That's how Hungry Nomads was born, a project where I merge my knowledge and experience with my love for the history of my city to provide travelers with a truly authentic experience, showing them a different side of my city.

In my experiences, I will take you to discover not only the culinary diversity of the city, but also its amazing history and culture. From traditional markets, street food stalls, to the most emblematic taquerías, each stop has been carefully selected to offer you a unique and flavorful experience.

I greatly appreciate you visiting my page and hope to meet you soon to personally show you my love for Mexico City. Hope to see you soon!
